About Us

In 1975 Levi and Amanda Yoder, along with their two daughters, started Yoder's Amish restaurant. They invested their life savings in a 45 seat restaurant. Having no prior restaurant experience, Amanda started cooking just like she used to back on their Amish farm in Indiana where she especially loved to bake pies. Levi loved to visit with the customers and make them feel at home. Their two daughters, Mary Lou and Anna Marie, helped cook and waitress. Much to their surprise, the combination was a huge success and soon people were waiting in long lines to enjoy the home cooking and homemade pies.

Since 1975, Yoder's Amish Restaurant has become a favorite and is a tradition for many families from all over the country.

Sweet aromas of fresh baked fruit pies and homemade bread fill the air as you enter at Yoder's. Though the pies are the signature item, lots of folks come for the 18 reasonably priced, hearty portioned dinners such as Mom's Meatloaf, served with real mashed potatoes and "made from stock" gravy. Homemade bread and apple butter is served at every meal. Breakfast specials include biscuits and gravy, Mom's sweet rolls, and homemade French toast.

As Sarasota's original Amish Restaurant, Yoder's prides themselves in Amish home cooking made from scratch, serving their guests an Amish meal experience that goes beyond their expectation. Guaranteed!
